Where: Level G, Theatrette

Artists Gemma Smith and Stephen Ormandy discuss their new publications, in conversation with publishers and designers Mark Gowing and Elliott Bryce Foulkes of Formist.

Gemma Smith’s work has been exhibited regularly at major museums, art spaces and commercial galleries, including the MCA, Sydney; QAGOMA, Brisbane; Heide Museum of Modern Art, Melbourne; Gertrude Contemporary, Melbourne; Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney and Pittsburgh Centre for the Arts. 

Alongside his role as Creative Director of Dinosaur Designs, Stephen Ormandy maintains an independent artistic practice inspired by the natural world and informed by a strong design aesthetic based on colour and form. There is a discernible dialogue between his large-scale oil paintings and sculptural work, with line, shape and surface each informing the other.
